The Doors - "Waiting for the Sun". Original 1968 Vinyl LP - Signed by All Four Members. Offered here is a truly exceptional piece of rock and roll history: an original 1968 pressing of The Doors' landmark third album. On Elektra Records (EKS-74024), signed on the front cover by all four members of The Doors - Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, and John Densmore. This is a stereo vinyl LP, pressed at the Terre Haute Pressing plant (Unipak), released in the US in 1968. All four signatures were executed in black ball point pen directly on the front LP cover.

The album features the band standing together in a field at sunset - making it a particularly striking canvas for the autographs, which are clearly visible across the upper portion of the cover. Finding any item signed by all four Doors is exceptionally rare. Was The Doors' only No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, and this signed original pressing is a museum-quality artifact from the peak of the band's commercial success. Jim Morrison passed away in 1971 at just 27 years old, and Ray Manzarek died in 2013, meaning no new complete Doors signatures will ever enter the market.

Every signature on this LP has been forensically examined and authenticated as genuine by GFA (Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators), with full examination reports, ink & document analysis, and questioned autograph & exemplar comparisons for each signer. Died July 3, 1971 (age 27). Died May 20, 2013 (age 74). About "Waiting for the Sun".

Is the third studio album by The Doors, released July 3, 1968, on Elektra Records. The album's eleven tracks were recorded between late 1967 and May 1968, primarily at TTG Studios in Los Angeles. It became The Doors' only album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200, holding the top position for four weeks.

The album includes their second US No. 1 single, "Hello, I Love You, " which topped the charts for two weeks beginning August 3, 1968. The first single released was "The Unknown Soldier, " which peaked at No. 39 on the Billboard Hot 100. Also became the band's first hit album in the UK, peaking at No. Having released two records that drew from a large pool of previously composed material, the Doors began to improvise and create new material for this third LP in late 1967. The album was originally intended to include the sprawling poem "Celebration of the Lizard" on one full side, though ultimately only the excerpt "Not to Touch the Earth" made the final cut. The cover, photographed by Paul Ferrara and Guy Webster, features all four band members standing in a field - one of the most iconic images of the group.

Hello, I Love You (2:22). Not to Touch the Earth (3:54). Summer's Almost Gone (3:22). The Unknown Soldier (3:18).

My Wild Love (2:52). We Could Be So Good Together (2:22). Yes, the River Knows (2:38).

Five to One (4:22). Each signature has been independently examined by GFA (Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators) using forensic document analysis techniques. All four signatures received an "Authentic" determination. Full examination reports, ink & document analysis reports, examined item photos, and questioned autograph & exemplar comparisons are provided below for each member.
